Today I made up my mind, I'm gonna start my spring right now, not gonna leave it till any later! So I took out my fabulous jeans jacket from last summer and wore three jumpers under it as I half-jogged to the nearest cash point at 5.30am just to get a top-up for my Oyster. Half an hour early for work I was there in the world's loveliest Starbucks enjoying my coffee, waking up, getting ready for the day.
Okay is this cheesy enough, can I stop now?
Last Saturday I went and bought ingredients for a nice, fresh chicken salad (every time I mention chicken salad, all I can hear in my head is Joey from Friends saying 'Granma's chicken salad'). Not to mention it was the last money I had till the end of this week, I still haven't done anything in order to get the salad eaten as the cucumber won't get cut itself. Too bad there wasn't a house elf included in the rent now that I moved into the new flat and all.
Seriously, yes, I've got a new room (which is definitely not a single one) literally next to Abbey Road. It's amazing how you don't get an avarage London feel here when listening to the birds sing instead of the sirens going on and off no matter what time of the day it is. Will add some pictures as soon as I have the time to take them!
Anyway, if that salad is still bothering your minds, there is a reason for my uncut cucumber. Today I had a great
plan to get home early, make my chicken salad from scratch and enjoy it
all by myself whilst updating myself with Facebook news. Now this you
might think is stalking, but to make it clear to everyone, it absolutely
is not. I'm just sincerely concerned with my friends' welfare and of
course interested in their new profile pictures. Back to the story,
instead of getting home I ended up walking along the Regent's Canal
enjoying the Sun watching little ducks toddling their way on the
pathway. Met starving Lewis in Camden and had no other choise but to go
and join him for a Chinese buffet on Camden High Street. Now if this
isn't a proof good enough of me being a true friend, I don't know what
is. All I can say is, Zai jian Chinese street food and buffet meals.
Heinz's chicken soup will get an ever-so-warming welcome in my lunch
bag from now on.
